2017 News

November 11-2, 2017 - Lake Nacimiento

Seventeen guys made the trip to Lake Nacimiento on February 11th and 12th to kick off the 2017 Bass-n-Tubes season.

Nacimiento was interesting this last weekend. Rain on Friday turned to partly cloudy conditions on Saturday and bluebird skies on Sunday.
With the winter rains, so far this year, the lake is almost full, the color of chocolate milk, and there is floating debris everywhere.

The anglers that made the trip to Naci also found fish with lockjaw, for the most part. Zero limits were weighed in for this tournament and only 22 fish came to the scale over the course of 2 days.

Oscar Baeza had the big bag on day 2 with 3 fish for 3.82 pounds, that when added to his one fish from Saturday gave him a total weight of 5.37 pounds and the victory.
Congrats Oscar on a tough weekend!

Second place went to Jeff Wilson who also brought 3 to the scale on Sunday for 3.33 pounds. Added to Saturdays weight Jeff's total weight was 4.77 pounds for his 4 keepers for the weekend.

Finishing in 3rd place was Mitch Teman. Mitch had 2 fish on Saturday for 3.05 pounds and blanked on day 2, but still managed to finish in the money.

Day 1 and tournament overall big fish went to Sal Castro for a 2.49 pound whopper.
Day 2 big fish went to Will Robinson who landed a nice 2.39 pound Lake Nacimiento spotted bass.
