2017 News

March 19, 2017 - CA Delta, White Slough

The March tournament, originally scheduled for Mildred Island, was moved at the request of the CA DWR, due to high river flows on the San Joaquin river.
So... we went to White Slough instead.

Seventeen anglers met on the levee for the second event of the 2017 season.
The weather was good, there was a light overcast with very little wind, and the tide was lazy, which made for an easy day on the water.
The bite was a little on the tough side but White slough still kicked out some good fish, as usual.

At the scale Sal Castro was the man to beat.
Sal weighed in a fat limit for 18.29 pounds to take his first ever win with BnT. Sal anchored his limit with an 8.29 pound White Slough hog, and scored himself the big fish money also. This makes it two big fish option pots in a row for Sal.
Congrats on the long overdue victory.
Sal reported using a chatterbait primarily to take the prize.
You can read the winners report here.

Second place went to Max Krieg. Max brought a solid five fish limit to the scale for a total weight of 13.32 pounds. Max posted his report here. Check it out!

Steve Lynch would finish up in third place with five for 12.92 pounds, complete with a 6+ kicker. Click here to see how Steve did it.

Congratuations to the guys who figured them out!

Next on the schedule is the BnT Clear Lake Kickboat Open on April 22nd and 23rd, 2017.
We are working with M&M to make this happen after the recent flooding at Clear Lake.
Stay tuned to the forum for details as soon as they become available!
