Pro Kickboat Open on the Delta

Near
perfect conditions greeted
the 34 anglers who
made it out to Beacon Harbor for the 2006 Delta Open. At the
end of day one Scott Beem had the early lead with a limit
for 14.26 lbs. Scott's bag was anchored by the 6.49
lb day one big fish. In
second place was Jeremy Brumbelow who made the trip to the
delta from Redding Ca. Jeremy weighed in with a nice limit
for 13.53 lbs. Jeremy also had day one's second big fish with
a 5.25 lber. Close behind in third after day one was Dan Chester.
Dan brought another nice limit to the scale which topped out
at 13.31 lbs. Rounding out the top five at the end of day
one were Taylor Capilla with 13.01 lbs and Rob Belloni with
12.03 lbs.
Day
two saw Rob Belloni bring in the heaviest bag with a solid
limit for 16.10 lbs topped off with a 6.56 lb beauty. Rob
's total weight of 27.63 lbs earned him the win. Dan Chester
had another good day and weighed in five fish at 13.71 lbs
for a two day total of 27.02 lbs and the second place finish.
Jeremy Brumbelow weighed in with three fish for 12.67 lbs
to secure the third spot. Jeremy's weight was anchored by
day two's and the overall big fish of 6.87 lbs. In fourth
place at the end of the event was Scott Rouhier with a two
day total of 22.81 lbs. Fifth place went to Jeff Smith with
22.62 lbs and Taylor Capilla took the last paying position
with 22.06 lbs and sixth place. Paul Mibach narrowly missed
big fish by 0.05 lbs with the day two second big fish and
a new personal best, another delta hog which weighed 6.82
lbs.
The
Saturday evening festivities were epic as usual with a casting
contest and raffle. Joe Castro took top honors in the casting
contest earning the $100 cash prize.
The raffle was great with awesome prizes donated by our sponsors.
