Coyote Bait and Tackle Open
Results and Photos
The
2nd annual Coyote Bait and Tackle open hosted by Bass-n-Tubes
was held on April 1st at Coyote Reservoir in Gilroy, CA. After
a week of heavy rains and reservoir levels rising, the weather
cooperated and it turned into a nice day. It was a tough bite
however, as only two limits were brought to the scales. One
of them was by the days winner Rob Belloni. Rob had figured
out a shallow water Senko bite which netted him 12.78 lbs
for his best five. This is the second year in a row that Rob
has taken the win in this event. Second place finisher and
tournament director Paul Mibach had also cashed in on the
shallow Senko bite Paul had four fish for 11.30 lbs. Third
place finisher Mitch Teman flipped Senkos and tubes in the
trees for most of the day and ended up with 3 fish at the
end for 11.10 lbs. Mitch also had the big fish of the day
with a fat 7.23 lb Coyote bass. BnT's Central Region tournament
director Bryan Vogt had four bass for 10.53 lbs and fourth
place. The final paying position went to Abner Morgan who
also fished shallow for his 4 fish which totaled 10.17 lbs
at the scale.
