men and women made it out to Beacon Harbor for the 2007
Pro Kickboat Open on the delta.
We couldn't have asked for a nicer weekend with comfortably
warm temps and light to moderate winds.
At
the end of day one Scott Rouhier would have the early lead
with a limit for 17.29 pounds Scott's bag was anchored by
the 5.56 pound day one big fish. In second place was Dan
Balaba who weighed in with another nice limit for 16.27
pounds. Dan also had the day one second big fish with a
4.75 pounder. Taking the third position after day one was
Tim Zandbergen. Tim brought a limit to the scale which topped
out at 14.07 pounds. Rounding out the top five at the end
of day one were Mark Zandbergen with 13.93 pounds and Jeremy
Brumbelow who had 13.65.
Day two, Jeremy Brumbelow would bring in the heaviest bag
with five fish for 18.50 pounds topped off with the big
fish of the day and the tourney with an 8.54 pound beauty.
Jeremy's total weight of 32.15 pounds earned him the win.
Scott Rouhier had another good day and weighed in a limit
for 14.82 pounds with a nice 6.94 pound kicker for a two
day total of 32.11 pounds and the second place finish.
Tim Zandbergen came to the scale with five fish for 13.87
pounds and final tally of 27.94 pounds for the third place
finish. Dan Balaba weighed in with three fish on day two
for 10.08 pounds to take the fourth spot with a total weight
of 26.35 pounds. Fifth position went to Mark Zandbergen
who had a day two limit for 12.27 pounds and a total of
26.20 pounds for the weekend. Rounding out the top 10 were:
6. John Lake with 25.13, 7. Doug Tyler with 23.43 and the
day two second big fish of 8.08 pounds, 8. Taylor Capilla
with 21.64, 9. Bill Sweatt with 21.39, and 10. Mike Ayers
with 19.62 pounds.
Jeremy's total weight of 32.15 pounds set a new Delta Open
total weight record and the margin of victory of 0.04 pounds
is the closest finish in BnT Open history.
